Well no more as 'Swim with the TUNA' is relocating to Adelaide. As an added bonus for local's it's HALF PRICE = $50 each, good deal! Plus all the merchandise on board also half price - even better with a couple of woolly fleece lined jackets now in our possession.
The WEATHER
We originally booked for Saturday 3rd October over the phone, but changed to Sunday 4th when we visited the office to pay our tour fees.
As it happened we hit a WEATHER WINDOW!!
3rd - Max. wind 61kph, NNW and 35.3degrees
4th - Max. wind 19kph, ENE and 28.6 degrees
5th - Max. wind 81kph, NW and 37.2 degrees
In fact on the Saturday tour they broke a mooring line, and visibility in the cage was very poor. With Mondays tour cancelled due to the WEATHER!!

Snags for lunch
Off to swim with the tuna – dragon boat
team out practicing, board ‘TUNA EXPRESS’ depart 10 minutes late due to some
folks waiting for their ‘Take Away COFFEE’S. Dead calm and 20 minutes later
moored up to the platform. Into wet suits and soon into the cool Southern Ocean
18.2 degrees, 3 weeks ago it was 10.5 degrees.
The tuna whiz past at 40 kph
Magic swim in the poly net, snapper, blue morwong,
mullaway, tommies and many more, then into the tuna net – magic and awesome
sight. Freezing by the time we are out
of the water, soon into a hot tea and a couple of snags.
Stick feeding the Tuna

All warmed back up and a great experience!!
